As many as 55,000 members of 4,000 SHGs shared the profit of about Rs. 1.56 crore apart from the initial benefits.
Mangalore MLA Yogish Bhat and Mr Khader formally distributed profits cheques to the members of the SHGs.
Mr Heggade, in his presidential address said that people can create an economic revolution through SHGs.
