Mahesh Bhupati inspires Students on Launch of Progressive Tennis in Ryan Schools

Mumbai : 11 Grand Slams winner, Padma Shri awardee, Davis Cupper and India’s best doubles player Mahesh Bhupathi visited Ryan International School to interact with the children and their parents and review Progressive Tennis, a tennis program introduced by MBTT in India on 25th July 2010 @ Ryan School, Vasant Kunj.

Dr. Augustine Pinto, Chairman of Ryan Group of Schools was also present at the event and interacted with the press along with Mahesh Bhupati. Ryan Schools has launched tennis training for all interested students in all their schools in NCR and plans to extend the training to all its schools located nationally.

Mahesh Bhupathi Team Tennis (MBTT) also organized a Fun Day for the students of Ryan International School. Students from 7 Ryan International Schools –Vasant Kunj, Faridabad , Ghaziabad , Noida , Rohini , Mayur Vihar and Greater Noida. This event had various fun and games stations, where children can compete to win lots of prizes.

Mahesh Bhupati also commented “ Progressive Tennis is the form of the game that’s very important for development of kids especially when they start young, and this is the same format which great players like Roger Federer, Andy Roddicks, Justine Henin and all of them have come through progressive tennis, it’s been tried and tested in the west. And his team is proud to introduce this system for First time in India in Ryan Group of schools on a large scale.” MBTT has introduced at all Ryan International Schools in India “Progressive Tennis” a tennis coaching program for 3 plus to 10 year old children, that allows young players to learn and play the game more quickly, efficiently and successfully. It is played on a smaller court using slower oversize imported foam balls, smaller imported racquets to scale the game down to an appropriate level for children to easily adapt to the game of tennis.

The making of future seeded Indian Players has now come in town.
