Corporation Bank bags Banking Technology Award - 2009

Mangalore :  Corporation Bank has won the Banking Technology Award for 2009 in the best online and multi channel banking initiative category for public sector banks. B.R. Bhat, General Manager of the bank, received the award in Mumbai on Thursday 28th January 2010.

Corp Bank was nominated for the award by a jury of eminent personalities in the banking and technology sectors. The Bank bags this award on the merit of effective implementation of new technologies in its business initiatives. It was received under the sponsorship of the Indian Banks Association (IBA), Finacle, and the Trade Fairs and Conference International (TFCI).

Corporation Bank has received several awards from various organizations such as IDRBT, IBA, and others for its excellent implementation of technology over the past years. It is also the first bank in India to launch income tax payments via Corp Bank ATMs. The bank also launched prepaid Gift Cards for corporate customers, which can be used at POS terminals. The bank has also issued White Label Credit Cards in association with LIC.
