Namma Kudla Goodu Deepa Competion held on the occasion of Deepavali

Mangalore :  Goodu Deepa competition orgainsed successive 10th year by Namma Kudla local t v channel held at Sri kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple premise on Friday 16th.

Janardhana Poojary, former union minister, Palthady Ramakrishna Achar, chairman of Tulu Sahitya Academy, P Jayaram Bhat, chairman of Karnataka Bank K P Nanjundi, noted film personality and B P Karkera, founder of Namma Kudla tv Channel were among the guests present during the competition.
 

The goodu deepa models in different shapes like temple, ship, chariot and aquarium were presented in the show. A goodu deepa made out of silver was displayed during the competition and the one who guessed the nearest value of the goodu deepa won special prize in a competition.
