was indeed a festival of light for us as we mingled with the children of Twin House.
It was like seeing an ocean of smiles. It was a memorable moment for us. What made
it special was that it was our first big ROC (Reach Out Club) event as a group and
most importantly the kids at Twin House have always been very special to us.

All natural vitamins are organic food substances found only in living things, that

vitamins. They must be supplied by the diet or in dietary supplements. Vitamins
are essential to the normal functioning of our bodies. They are necessary for growth,

Don’t think there are no crocodiles because the water is calm
|
By: Vanessa Fernandes, 14 years
|
|
The above sentence though a Malayalam proverb, has a lot to gain. Whenever we go
to lake or river or a big pond we are informed that there are crocodiles in the
water. But sometimes the water will be calm and we go into the water and the rest
will be our fate.
Similarly to this, we student should not skip our homework or given assignments
because a substitute teacher is scheduled for tomorrow or whether our teacher is
absent. Instead we should do it immediately and finish our work so that the next
day we may not suffer a punishment. So keep this thought in mind and lead a better
life.

Girl Guiding
|
by: Hanceeda D’Souza
|
|
|
Girl guiding opened new scope for the young females. The vision of life where women
would face the world on equal terms with men, where they were trained and equipped
to cope with whatever emergences would arise. Women had no freedom, no training
for life, little education compared to boys. They began to dream of freedom and
equality with men. And guiding for girls turned that dream into reality. In an effort
to emulate the scouts they marched around with water bottles and their bags stuffed
with bandages hoping to find an injured person whom they could practice their skills
on.

It really takes guts to take a stand
|
Vanessa Fernandes 14 years.
|
|
|
The above sentence may sound a bit weird, but it really takes guts to take a stand.
This means that many among us are of shy-natured, some are daring and some are down
to earth. This article is for those who are shy or scared or nervous whenever they
are told to come forward for something. For a instance, you are told to volunteer
for a group activity or to take part in the activity, but you hesitate, thinking
your classmates will make fun of you. But I say go forward, you will gain confidence,
everyone will appreciate you. I have the experience so this is my advice. If you
stay back, you will stay back forever you will never be able to come up in your
life. So, come forward & fulfill your dream. Trust me you will be a success because
it really takes guts to stand.

Reading clubs, where reading can be fun

In children it’s mostly seen that if reading is a must they just move away and do
not consider it a fun exercise. Thus, convincing children to fall in love with reading
can be a tricky task. However, if reading becomes a task they want to undertake
then definitely children would want to read more. Imminent trend in the City in
this direction is formation of reading clubs.

Whose people are just!
On whom we can trust

The beautiful nature,
This is not a torture
Where we are free
From person to tree
|
On this paradise we live
Where we learn to share and give
This land has multi culture
This lets our mind nurture

From a thread
To a baking bread
Everything lies in this land
Yet not able to understand?

This is my land
A great land - India

You’re there…
|
It is the time; when I feel lonely
It is the time, when I get night mares
None around, a person for me
White skies and dark clouds are only for me
How can I put a false grin on my face?
Others are frauds is what I think
Dry lips are fasting; no one to speak to
I can see shadow right in the dark
I keep on starving at the moon
Say to me you’re a curse or a boon
I feel your back; is it a reality?
Is it the time; should I accept you?
Now that I’m gifted with a more worthy present
You betrayed me and now some one else is for me
But still I forgive you; after all, you’re still for me.

A Tribute to Michael Jackson
|
He was a thriller,
He was bad
and was dangerous.
although on tune.
Still he went off tune
Loved by all,
Still, had he to take
the trials of court.
He was always in site
Caused he liked us –
No matter, if we were black or white
And then somebody said;
Stop the music, Jackson’s gone
O Jacko, will always remember
your mind numbing songs.
You said, heal the world
And now, you’re vanished
in the cold.
You’ll always remain on top!
Cause you are the `King of Pop’!
Salute to you Michael Jackson,
for your contribution in music.
You may have gone
But your music will play on!
God bye to you, Wacko Jacko.

Life

Life
Life is full of ups and downs
A mixture of smiles and frowns
It’s like a wheel which turns and turns
On like time, once gone never returns
|
|
|
You may once find yourselves up so high
Venturing out like eager birds in the wide open sky
But times will also come by
When people look at you with a sympathetic smile and sigh
|
Life is but a journey
Where each one goes his own path
Following the trail of destiny
And completing off his given task
|
|
|
We meet, we depart and reunite with people
Making their stories our own
But at last when we reach our long yearned goal
It’s you and you alone

Dark Days
|
When the tears slide over my cheeks
I have no one to see
When my anger rises to peaks
He does see, but not to me
|
|
|
He can feel my sorrow too
Who can console; but furtive
He leaves me alone all night
Nobody’s be attentive to me
|
To her I run with grief filled
Like a gale in a dusky day
Leaving all the marvel snow
Scuffing my pains again
|
|
|
It does squeeze my heart today
To shift all my memories away
When I am betrayed too far
Another’s Company you are at all
|
So there’s none that I have with me
Smiling foe and a fate festoon
This is all with me I have
Yearning for a company small

IT’S THIS RAIN
What a bliss is this rain!
For this much better, than what we gain!
Cause when in rain, no one vein;
This rain is good
Cause many from this
get their food.
For rain is what we thirst,
And think we are first.
But some rains are harsh, and
many do die
And no one knows why?
But for rain don’t you ever repent

THAT COUPLE
In that cottage
Down the lane,
Lived a couple
Eight decades old.
With five decades of marriage vows
Was the golden life of them both
They lived in the cottage
Named ‘The Eden’
All their life
Without any burden
They were a couple ‘Oh! So dear’
That cared for the neighbour and the poor.
One fine morn,
Came the angel of death
Took him away to eternal rest
But he up there was all alone
And asked her to join him there

‘DO OR DIE’
Here comes general with a sign
He has names of dead partners
With some blue bells and bottle of wine
And maps of hill where even dead men get frightened!
Here comes ship with dead and merchandise
Hurry this is our life, we know we have to die
With some rum in the morning shine
Be aware of our slogan ‘do or die’
Here comes the night we have to calm
His legs steady with bullet on his palm
Why to curse God for mistakes human done?
And morning comes to beat us black and blue,
Just for fun.
